The rainfall reading at the dam is taken at ± 08:00 every Tuesday so it includes all rainfall prior to 08:00 on the day. The bulk of the rainfall for 9 April fell between 02:00 and 06:00 and the GRD catchment received over 100mm during that time.

GEORGE NEWS - The latest water level update on 2 April, supplied by George Municipality. 

  • Percentage storage: 81,10
  • Rainfall for previous 7 days: 29.5 mm (Measured up to and including 2 April)

The co-operation in keeping to the water restrictions of all users of municipal water is essential and is greatly appreciated.
