GEORGE NEWS - The Garden Route SPCA (GRSPCA) is calling on the community to dig deep and help raise much-needed funds for vulnerable animals during its annual tin collection on Saturday 1 August.

Volunteers and staff members will be collecting donations from 09:00 at shopping centres and businesses across the city, including Checkers York Street, Checkers Paddagat, Pick n Pay Precap, Eden Meander, Builders Warehouse, Van Rensburgs, Kloppers, Wellington Spar, Heather Park Spar and Wilderness Spar.

Members of the public can support the fundraising drive by dropping cash into the collection tins or by making a donation using the mobile card machines available at each collection point.

Every donation, no matter how small, helps the GRSPCA continue providing shelter, veterinary care and protection to animals in need.
