GEORGE NEWS - George Police are investigating culpable homicide following an accident that claimed the life of a 62-year-old man on his bicycle.
The man was knocked down by a truck on the N2 near Eden Church this morning, Friday 5 July.
According to provincial police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie, the circumstances surrounding the incident are part of ongoing investigation.
"Preliminary information suggests that man was hit by a truck travelling the same direction towards Wilderness. The rider succumbed to the serious injuries sustained," said Pojie.
The driver of the truck was unharmed.
