GEORGE NEWS - Dive into the coolest charity event this year. The Polar Bear Plunge is an annual community event that supports local organisations whose work benefits people and pets in need.
Hundreds of humans run into the icy waves of Victoria Bay every year to raise awareness and blankets for those less fortunate.
Will you bear the cold alongside friends, families and businesses? You don't have to get wet unless you want to…
We Are Fine will play you hot covers of rock classics and easy listening tunes. Rarely seen together, these accomplished musicians grace stages and festivals across South Africa like Innibos and Aardklop, supporting amazing artists like Cindy Alter, Ghapi, Dewald Wasserval and more. Expect a fiery performance to warm up those waves!
There'll also be:
- Stalls selling goods from SPCA Garden Route, George Child & Family Welfare and Rotary Club, among others. Get ahead of your Christmas shopping list while giving back.
- A kids' corner with a mini jungle gym for toddlers, a larger jumping castle for kids, face painting and colouring fun for little ones of all ages. Did we mention the popcorn machine?
- A dunk tank to dunk a friend (or be dunked) for R20. Proceeds go towards the Plunge's beneficiaries as selected by you.
- Crazy competitions with cool prizes. How fast can you down a slushie? Try the BRRRain Freeze challenge!
If you want to help us warm 1 000 people and pets this winter, you can gather blankets and drop them at the dotsure.co.za offices, 117A York Street, George. If you have more than 10, e-mail Plunge partner Aramex South Africa at Jessica@aramex.com and they'll collect and deliver for FREE!
Enter yourself or your business now by registering at www.dotsure.co.za/pbp or e-mailing marelize@dotsure.co.za.
See you on the sand…
