Update
GEORGE NEWS - A man's body was found inside the wreck of a car at the bottom of a cliff on the Voëlklip Road earlier this morning, Thursday 3 November.
This follows extensive search and rescue efforts by various emergency services after indicators of an alleged incident were reported on Tuesday.
Rough sea conditions have hampered search efforts since Tuesday.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Capt Malcolm Pojie, the vehicle was spotted this morning in calmer sea conditions. Police divers and rescue services went to assess the situation and found the body trapped in the car.
Wilderness NSRI and police divers recovered the body, that still has to be identified.
