GEORGE NEWS - Two suspects aged 18 and 25 were arrested earlier today on a charge of murder following the death of a man (25) at the George Provincial Hospital, at about 02:00 this morning, Saturday 29 January.
The deceased has been identified as PJ Hendricks of New Dawn Park.
According to Police Spokesperson Sergeant Christopher Spies, a preliminary investigation into the death reveals that the victim was assaulted by a group at Proteaweg, Pacaltsdorp earlier.
"The victim sustained injuries to his head and a stab wound to the neck. He was transported with a private vehicle to hospital where he was declared dead by medical personnel on arrival. The motive for this killing yet to be determined."
Both suspects remains in police custody. They are expected to appear in the George Magistrates’ court on Monday 31 January.
