GEORGE NEWS - The increase in reports of theft out of motor vehicles during the last couple of months, has become a very big concern for the George police.
What to do to avoid becoming a victim:
• Remote control jamming is real, so make sure that your car is locked by manually testing it.
• Never push the lock button as you’re walking away, better be safe than sorry.
• Never leave valuables such as laptops, cell phones, handbags, etc, within clear site in your car. Rather place them in the boot before leaving your car.
• Never leave cash in your vehicle. Not even under your car seat.
• Be vigilant of any suspicious people or activities around the area.
