GREAT BRAK RIVER NEWS - A motorist was arrested earlier today after he was caught driving 187 km/hour on the N2 near Great Brak River.
According to provincial traffic chief Kenny Africa, the driver was arrested at around 16:35.
"A driver with a silver BMW, with a CAW registration number, failed to stop at the speed location after doing 187 km/hour in a 120km/hour zone," said Africa. "He was later stopped by Mossel Bay officers and apprehended.
"The accused is in custody at Great Brak River Police station on charges of reckless and negligent driving, exceeding 120 km\h speed limit and failing to adhere to an instruction given by a traffic officer."
