GEORGE NEWS - Thembalethu police opened an inquest docket following the death of four victims after their shack burned down in Asazania, Thembalethu, during the early morning hours of Saturday 3 April, around 03:00.
A member of the public noticed that the shack was on fire and alerted authorities, said Police Spokesperson Sergeant Christopher Spies.
“Emergency services personnel responded when they discovered the remains of four occupants on the scene.
The occupants - two woman, a man and a 2-year-old toddler - were all burned beyond recognition.” Circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire are under investigation.
