GEORGE NEWS - A lucky Thembalethu resident won a brand-new VW Polo Vivo in the MTN Cake Crush competition on Thursday 23 January.
Christmas came early for Olwethu Mthengwane (24), an MTN Pulse customer who played the competition almost every day.
Olwethu is the first MTN Pulse customer to strike a win in the competition. She currently works as a merchandiser but aims to study human resources. She plans to take a road trip to Cape Town in her new car.
"I am very excited," says Olwethu.
"I didn't really expect this, I was testing my luck. This is a big surprise. I want to thank MTN for this competition and also encourage others to join MTN Pulse. Who knows, they may also be winners just like me."
MTN Pulse is a new youth price plan for 18 to 24-year-olds that aims to keep South Africa's youth connected at very affordable data and voice rates.
According to Nonhlanhla Sibiya, MTN Pulse manager, MTN is committed to continue brightening the lives of South Africa's youth. "There is still time to enter MTN CakeCrush and win one of nine remaining VW Polo Vivos. The competition ends on 31 January 2020."
