GEORGE NEWS - A 22-year old male was arrested earlier today in connection with the death of a man (25) in Snake Street, Ballotsview (near Parkdene) in the early hours of the morning.
“It is alleged that the victim was stabbed,” said Provincial Police Spokesperson sergeant Christopher Spies.
“He sustained two stab wounds to the chest and was declared dead by paramedics on scene.” The incident happened about 00:35 on Sunday 20 March.
“The suspect was arrested at the police station following a confrontation between him and community members,” said Spies.
“He remains in custody and is expected to appear in the George Magistrates’ court on Tuesday, 22 March on a charge of murder. The investigation into this killing continues.”
