GEORGE NEWS FLASH - A man was killed and set alight in Zone 4 near Jam Alley Tavern in Thembalethu yesterday.
The deceased allegedly stabbed and killed a man inside the tavern following an argument. After he ran away, members of the community apprehended him.
He was assaulted and stones and bottles were thrown at him. He was then set alight. He died on the scene.
The man who was stabbed in the tavern also passed away on the scene.
The George Herald was told three murders were reported in the neighborhood yesterday.
It is unclear if the third murder is related to the two incidents at the tavern.
