Die vermiste man, wat slegs bekend staan as Dylan, het gistermiddag vermis geraak toe hy in ‘n sterk seestroom duskant die brug by Kaaimansrivier gaan swem het.
‘n Soektog na die man is vanoggend voortgesit deur lede van die polisie se duikeenheid en die nasionale seereddingsinstituut.

The George police opened an inquiry into the disappearance and presume drowning of a man in his thirties, yesterday, Saturday 02 January between 13:15 and 14:35 in the river mouth/sea between Kaaiman’s and Leentjiesklip in Wilderness.
“It is alleged that the unidentified person who, according to information lives along the coastline in a cave in Wilderness, got into trouble when he swam in the Kaaiman’s river. A witness tried to rescue him, but got into difficulty himself and almost drowned,” said Police Spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie.
The NSRI Rescuers responded rapidly but could not find the missing person.
Early this morning members of the SAPS’s Diving Unit together with NSRI resumed the search for the missing person who still hasn’t been found.
The police appeal to anybody who might know the victim to please call the investigating officer, Sgt Baxa at the George detective branch at 044 803 4715 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111 in order to verify the identity of the missing person who is only known as Dylan, so that his family can be found and informed.
