GEORGE NEWS - Golf carts dressed in Christmas tinsel and tassels joined in the first ever Fancourt Golf Cart Parade last Tuesday 22 December.
Participants included Fancourt members and guests who’s only entry fee were a toy donation to Fancourt’s longest serving charity, the George Child Welfare, of which Fancourt’s owner, Mrs Sabine Plattner, is a patron.
“We had 30 carts taking part and driving along a pre-determined route around the hotel and into our residential areas, and 100 gifts and soft toys were donated to George Child Welfare,” said Jenny Streicher, an executive assistant at the prestigious golf estate.

The route passed by a wine sip and snack stop and participants were granted the opportunity to take a selfie on one of the signature holes on the golf course. Prizes for Best Dressed, Runner Up and Third Place were announced via social media.
