GEORGE NEWS - If you have any interest in the future development of the city of George, plans for densification (more residential units) and proposed office parks, take time to read a document on the Draft George Spatial Development Framework online or at the George Library.
Members of the public and interested parties are hereby invited to submit written representations in respect of the draft document.
Representations must be addressed to the Municipal Manager and be submitted in writing by no later than 5 December at the 5th Floor, Civic Centre, York Street, George / PO Box 9, George, 6530 / send an e-mail to dpower@george.gov.za. Find the documents on the website by following this link.

The public will have a chance to ask questions and learn more about the proposed plans for George on the following dates:
- Monday 22 October: Banquet hall George Civic Centre from 12:00 to 20:00, with presentations at 13:00 and 18:00.
- Tuesday 23 October: Thusong (multi-purpose) centre, Thembalethu from 12:00 to 20:00, with presentations at 13:00 and 18:00.
- Wednesday 24 October: Community hall, Uniondale from 12:00 to 18:00, with presentations at 13:00 and 17:00.
