GEORGE NEWS - One person died and another was critically injured after a motor vehicle accident near the airport crossing on the R102 at approximately 00:20 this morning, Friday 18 February.
Exact details about the accident are still lacking, but it is believed that the driver of a big panel van with a CBS registration number lost control over his vehicle after which it rolled and came to a standstill on the side of the road.
It is believed that this was the only vehicle involved in the accident.

Accident near Hoekwil turn-off
Another man sustained critical injuries during a car crash involving two vehicles near the Hoekwil turn-off outside Wilderness on the N2 yesterday morning, Thursday 17 February.
The driver of a Land Rover had to be removed from his vehicle with the jaws of life. He was stabilised on scene and transported to hospital by ER24 paramedics. No one else was taken to hospital.
