Update
GEORGE NEWS - Striking bus drivers have walked from Pacaltsdorp to the GO GEORGE depot in York Street where Numsa union officials will give them a debriefing.
They are expected to disperse after the meeting.
The local drivers, who are currently taking part in the nationwide bus strike, are upset that the traffic department is not enforcing the permits that state that taxis cannot transport passengers on the bus routes.
The taxis are currently operating on these routes as GO GEORGE services remain suspended due to the ongoing national strike.
The bus drivers are also hoping that the national wage negotiation deadlock will be resolved by midweek.
More information to follow as it becomes available.
