GEORGE NEWS - Members of the local National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) are currently searching for a 16-year old boy who got into trouble in the water at the Gwaiing River mouth near Pacaltsdorp at approximately 12:40 this afternoon, Tuesday 30 March.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Capt Malcolm Pojie, emergency services are on scene while crew members of the NSRI are out at sea looking for the boy.
It is believed that the boy went swimming with some friends when he was knocked over by a wave and dragged out to sea by the current.
No further information is available at this stage.
