GEORGE NEWS - Grietjie and Marietjie are a match made in heaven - as mismatched as they may seem.
Grietjie the goat and Marietjie the dog were found as strays at the Mountview Holiday Resort in York Street in March this year.
"It took us weeks and weeks to catch them. Eventually the staff at Mountview cornered them in a rondavel," said SPCA trainee inspector Andrea Auerbach.
Strange as it may sound, this couple is inseparable and had to be rehomed together.
"They both cry when they can't see each other. They are completely adorable," said Auerbach. Grietjie and Marietjie have since found a potential forever home on a smallholding.
