GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - About 400 athletes from various countries, including South Africa, Ghana and Zimbabwe, are participating in today's Outeniqua Wheelchair Challenge.
The first race started at 07:00 this morning. The fun run starts at 10:30.
The race turning points are as follows: For the 21,1km and 42,2km - Pacaltsdorp; for the 10km - the Dutch Reformed Mother Church; and for the 5km - Paddagat.

Take note of the following road closures:
• Knysna Road from Garden Route Mall up to CTM, into town, will be closed until 14:00 today. The alternative route is via Blue Mountain and then out at CTM. Traffic from town towards Knysna will not be affected.
• York Street from Plattner Boulevard up to PW Botha Boulevard will be closed from 06:00 till 10:00 today.
• Along Beach Road going into Pacaltsdorp over the N2, only the inside lanes will be closed. The same applies for the rest of York Street and Courtenay Street / Knysna Road, excluding, as mentioned under point 1, the road between CTM and the entrance to the Garden Route Mall.
