GEORGE NEWS - Thembalethu detectives are investigating a robbery case following an incident where parcels were stolen out of a courier delivery vehicle at about 11:00 in Zone 4 on Friday 30 May.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies, initial reports indicate that the vehicle was delivering parcels when three men, one armed with a firearm, approached the driver and his passenger.
“They forced the driver out of the vehicle and took parcels from the back of the vehicle. The suspects fled the scene thereafter,” says Spies.
The suspects are still at large.
Investigators urged the public to come forward with any information which could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators. Anyone with information may contact the Thembalethu Detectives at 079 894 1576 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
