GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - During lockdown, customers of Ying Saan Take Aways in George have missed the Yings for their authentic Chinese food and the warm welcome and friendly chats enjoyed during visits. The closing down of Ying Saan Take Aways is the end of an era.
The beloved owners, Eddie and Mary Ann Ying, are retiring and have this message for their loyal customers:
After much thought we have decided to close Ying Saan. We opened our little shop in 1983. It was challenging, but God had a perfect plan for our family.
After 37 years, we look back and say thank you to the Garden Route community who came from far and wide. We feel blessed to have had the support of generations of customers. We will always cherish our time at 24 Courtenay Street.
We have been looking forward to our retirement for some time. Covid-19 has escalated that process. We feel that at our age it is safer to call it a day. Thank you to all of you who have sent us messages of support.
We will miss you and will always be grateful for your patronage.
Bless you all
Fondest memories
Eddie and Mary Ann Ying
