GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - Cartridge Depot chose the city of George to open its first franchise store in the Western Cape. Owners Craig Maree and Danie Klonus welcomed clients two weeks ago at their premises at 65 York Street.
Cartridge Depot has shown tremendous growth over the last three years, with the local outlet adding to its footprint as number 25 in the country. These experts in cartridges and toners remanufacture, import, distribute and sell printer cartridges and toners under its own registered trademark brand (EclipseTM).
Through their ingenuity clients are provided with more affordable options for all printing needs. "It will be hard to beat our prices," says Maree.
Better deal
The remanufacturing of inkjet and laser cartridges involves a process by which the toner in an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) or compatible cartridge that has been used only once, is cleaned, stripped, reassembled, refilled and tested. The cartridge is cleaned and any worn or defective parts are replaced.
The cartridge is then refilled with toner or ink, tested and re-packaged as a remanufactured cartridge under the EclipseTM name.
"The process of remanufacturing should not be confused with the mere refilling of cartridges," says Klonus. "This entails a totally different process with the focus on quality and safety."

In addition, the store is fully stocked with OEM products by well-known brands such as Canon, HP, Samsung, Lexmark, Kodak, Epson, Brother, Epson and OKI. Clients thus have the opportunity to compare well-known brands with the in-house alternatives. Printing paper and memory devices are some of the related products you will find here.
Production, inventory, distribution and logistics are managed and controlled from the head office in Pretoria. Clients have the benefit of an extended service through Cartridge Depot's own network of stores, and online through its website.
Cartridge Depot offers a recycling service that allows clients to accumulate discount stamps should they hand in cartridges from the range we stock. All our stores have drop boxes where clients can dispose of their old cartridges.
