GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS AND VIDEO - The bright red banner on the corner of Plattner Boulevard at York Centre lets you know that a new PostNet branch opened their doors here on 1 October, for the convenience of the customer.
Craig Field, the owner, says, "We searched around for a location, and what better than a shopping centre that is central to schools? So learners can come print assignments here for school, or a customer can do some shopping while their packages are sorted out."
Field also owns PostNet George and PostNet Heather Park.
The new branch offers all the regular services, only printing is done on a smaller scale. They have two internet stations for e-mail or typing a CV and a photo station where customers can print their memories. They also offer the very popular PostNet-2-PostNet option at R99 (up to 5kg), greater of weight or volume, 2 to 3 working days service.

"As PostNet we offer an affordable international courier service to our clientele known as PostNet Global Express," says Field. The counter assistants at PostNet York Centre, Cherené Jacobs and Danei Venter, will assist you with a smile and help sort out your packages in a jiffy.

Field says at PostNet they have had many funny, sometimes unusual and some downright weird packages come through their doors. "But we have to keep everything professional and confidential to protect our customers," he says.
PostNet York Centre is open from 08:00 to 17:00 during the week and from 08:30 to 13:00 on a Saturday. Venter and Jacobs will assist you till everything is done and dusted, even if you arrive just before closing time.
This, says Field, is what makes their service so special: they know how important each client is and will always help any client to the best of their ability.
