BUSINESS NEWS - GR Tyres in George, operating under the national franchise of BestDrive, opened its doors in April with a young, vibrant team committed to customer service as their top priority.
"Being a multi-branded franchise, we are able to offer competitive pricing on almost all brands of tyres," says owner-manager Craig Gee. We are, however, especially proud of our affiliation with Continental Tyres. Through them we are able to provide the quality tyre brands Matador and General with a range of pricing to suit every budget. Other service offerings include wheel alignment, the fitment of brakes, shocks and batteries."
GR Tyres aims to offer services to the general public, company fleet managers, commercial operators and the vital agricultural sector of the region.
The GR team also includes branch manager Phillip Scheepers, who has years of experience in the passenger, truck and agricultural sectors. "He is known for his commitment to his clients and ensuring the customers remain the most important part of our business," Gee says.
"Jacqui Viljoen is the administration manager. She goes the extra mile and clients love her for her positive nature. She is passionate about service and customer satisfaction. Donovan Maartens is our 'jack of all trades' - a true all-rounder who was initially responsible for maintenance on clients' vehicles, including wheel alignment, suspension, shocks, brakes and battery sales. He is now also a member of the sales team."
This tyre specialist also has experienced and dedicated representatives who offer expert services including monthly fleet surveys and reporting, weekly pressure checks, monthly scrap reports, as well as retreading and branding of tyres.
They also keep an eye on truck wheel alignment and fault reporting at every 60 000km.
Thanks to its nationwide network, GR Tyres can also offer a 24-hour breakdown service.
