"How you dress, what you say, keeping or breaking promises - all of these have an impact on your own personal brand - be it positive or negative."
She said if a person successfully builds his or her brand, employers will invite you to come on board and job interviews will be a thing of the past.
"This also goes for your personal life. Building your brand inside your home will also enhance your intimate relationships. And remember to count to 10!" She said the primitive brain rules the flee or fight impulse and it literally takes 10 seconds for this to be processed by the rational brain. "If you can manage to count to ten you will protect your brand."
She juggles a career and her family life by allowing her children to share in her success. "If I get rewarded with a bonus, the kids get their share. This is only fair as they make sacrifices in order for me to be successful and for this they also have to be rewarded."
Visser said marketing is not a separate entity of a business. "It needs to form part of the reasoning behind your business from beginning to end. It must come in at ground level and the theme must extend through to the entire company."
