"Those wanting to participate should be a minimum height of 1,50m or taller to be able to reach the pedals and steer properly," say owners Jacques and Karen Clack. Many current Formula One drivers started their careers with karting before progressing to bigger things.
"We opened on 6 September and will gladly cater for birthday parties, corporate events, team building and league racing for groups, clubs, group bookings and companies. We can promise them some healthy competition and a lot of fun."
The engine power of karts is 5,5hp and The Exchange is an alcohol free venue.
The opening hours are from Monday to Saturday between 11:00 and 20:00, Sundays 14:00 to 18:00. Prices start at a reasonable 10 laps at R50; 20 laps at R80; 30 laps at R110; 40 laps at R140 and 50 laps at R170.
