Generous portions, outstanding service and a friendly vibe where everyone is welcome are what Geronimo Spur is about, and that’s what has made it George’s favourite family restaurant for the past 41 years.

Since 1981 when Geronimo Spur first opened its doors, followed by Timberwolf Spur in 2005, the George Spurs have created countless memories and earned a reputation for delicious value-for-money meals.

From sizzling steaks, ribs and burgers to our famous weekday specials, breakfasts and kids’ offerings – there’s something for everyone at Spur.

Geronimo Spur is proud to be involved in the George community through a wide range of events and initiatives.

From mountain biking, surfing and rugby to cycling, golf and water polo, we encourage children and families to lead healthy, happy, active lifestyles through our sponsorship of different events.

Some of our most notable sporting sponsorships over the years include the To Hell & Back and Trans Baviaans mountain bike races for over a decade, the Spur to Spur road race (which was previously known as the Spur Night Run) for more than 20 years, as well as the Spur Surfing Quadrangular and Spur Rugby Day for over 15 years.

At many of these outdoor events, the Geronimo Spur outdoor caravan sells tasty burgers and meals to participants and spectators. This small but mighty caravan has donated profits and sponsorships of more than R250 000 over the last 15 years.

It’s not just sport that keeps our flame burning at Spur, we’re also passionate about giving back to our community in other ways. Every Wednesday for the past seven years, we help feed the homeless – an initiative organised by Cremhog in George.

We also donated 1000 burgers and 500 portions of chips to the brave firefighters during the 2017 Knysna fires. As a family-friendly establishment, children are at the heart of what we do, which is why we have sponsored the Wikkelwurms creche at Bethesda for more than a decade.

This is simply our way of giving back to those who need it most and doing what we can to help uplift the wonderful George and Garden Route community that we are incredibly proud to have been a part of for the past 41 years.
