GEORGE NEWS - The latest dam level update, supplied by George Municipality on 4 February:
Garden Route Dam Level
- Dam level: 43,75 % (Compared to 44.77% on 27 January)
- Rainfall: 0.5 mm (Measured from 26 January – 2 February)
Haarlem Dam Level
- Dam level: 21,00 % (Compared to 24,00 % on 27 January)
- Rainfall: 0 mm (Measured from 26 January - 2 February)
The Level 2D water restrictions implemented currently can be found here.
The cooperation of all users of municipal water is essential and is greatly appreciated.

Households are limited to 10 kilolitres per month under Level 2D.
Use above this limit will be billed at Level 3 Emergency Tariffs.
Small daily savings, shorter showers, fewer washes, using grey water, can make a big difference.
