Tangible relief for homes prone to flooding
George Municipality started improving access to homes with steep slopes in Rosedale, Thembalethu and Touwsranten in November last year. Further measures to bring relief to several homes that continuously flood in times of heavy downpour are underway, including the building of channels to re-route run-off water and the installation of gutters and downpipes to minimise excess rainwater into the yards.
