GEORGE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The 11-year-old Jacob Janse van Rensburg surprised the audience at the Market Community Theatre - including headline act and well-known South African comedian Dalin Oliver - with his quick wit and friendly charm.

Oliver struck up some banter with Jacob, who was sitting in the front row on Saturday night, 6 September.

The experienced comedian was met with a volley of sharp comebacks, funny stories and even a Harry Potter joke that Jacob used to unofficially open the show 90 Day Comedian.

Oliver brought his hit show to George, Knysna and Sedgefield last weekend, fresh off a successful run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia, where it was warmly received. 

Back on home soil, he wasted no time diving into the quirks and '-isms' of South African life, delivering a set of over an hour that touched the audience in many ways. 

The show captured what it means to be proudly South African.
