GEORGE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - A gothic masterpiece, a tale of love, loss and vengeance served with a deliciously sinister twist, will hit the George Arts Theatre from 29 October to 8 November.
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is a wickedly entertaining musical masterpiece by Stephen Sondheim.
This chilling tale follows the vengeful barber Sweeney Todd who returns to London after years of wrongful exile only to discover a city filled with corruption and cruelty.
With the cunning pie-maker Mrs Lovett as his unlikely accomplice, Todd sets out on a path of bloody revenge, resulting in one of the most macabre and unforgettable stories ever told on stage.
Evening performances start at 19:00, with matinees on both Saturdays at 14:00.
Tickets are R150 for the public and R120 for theatre members, available through the George Arts Theatre box office and online booking platforms.
