GEORGE NEWS - Tiaras, glitter sparkles and glamour caught the eye at the Little Miss George and Little Miss George Junior pageant last weekend at the George Arts Theatre.
The event on Saturday 20 April attracted 20 participants who held the audience captive with their ecstatic energy and contagious smiles.
The little misses showcased casual and evening wear, as well as theme wear in line with the evening's main theme, 'Enchanted Garden'.
Winner of the Little Miss George title is Evané October, who also scooped the title of Miss Personality.
The first princess is Samara-Joy Swartz (also Miss Most Likes) and the second princess is Ischa Ceaser.
The Little Miss Junior George title went to Luchenay Erasmus, with Hayley van Wyngaard as first princess and Bontle Karmen as second princess.
"The girls were absolutely breathtakingly beautiful," said organiser Carly Adams.
"The idea is to help build a child's character and teach them from an early age to dream and to achieve, to be anything in life that they wish to be. It is also important to know that you don't always win, but that you have to stay true to yourself at all times."
Many sponsors from the community - individuals and businesses - sponsored an assortment of prizes and goodies for the event. Among them is Councillor Brendon Adams who sponsored R1 000 for the winner of the Miss Most Likes category.
