GEORGE NEWS - The dreams of a group of students from Elvinia's Dance Academy in George came true when they were filmed for a KykNet television series.
The filming took place when they participated in the Dans in jou taal regional dance competition in Port Elizabeth. In the episode from the series Champions Team, the selection process is shown and it is announced that they will compete in the finals, which will take place on 26 August.
The series will be screened on DStv channel 146 in December and the winners are in line for a whole host of prizes totaling R150 000.
Teacher Elvinia Manuel said, "I am super proud of my lovely and hard-working dancers who delivered breathtaking performances."
Amore Vittone, one of the judges, gave great feedback on their performances and was hugely impressed by their technique.
