It’s being reported that seagulls and their droppings are to be blamed for South Africa's incredible loss to Japan in their opening World Cup match.
The Times reports that “team officials are reportedly furious that their training...has been disrupted by up to 100 seagulls and their seagull, shall we say, by-product.”
