NATIONAL NEWS - Eskom has announced that load shedding will continue on Thursday 16 July as follows: Stage 1 from 09:00, then Stage 2 from 14:00 to 22:00.
Eskom teams are working hard to return to service additional generation units and they urge consumers to assist by reducing the usage of electricity.
"While we appreciate it is cold, we urge the public to assist by switching off heating appliances, geysers and other appliances in order to alleviate the pressure on the system."
Areas will be affected as follows on Stage 1 (09:00 to 14:00):
