The following roads are closed:
Kaaiman's Pass Mudslide:
A mudslide at Kaaiman's Pass has brought traffic to a standstill. Only one lane is open with a stop-and-go system in place. Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution while navigating through the slow-moving traffic.
Saasveld Road Closure:
Saasveld Road is currently inaccessible due to fallen trees. SANRAL is actively working to address the issue. Alternative routes are advised until further notice.
Heavy Rain Impact:
Widespread heavy rain is wreaking havoc on roads in and around George. Motorists are strongly advised to limit travel to essential trips only. Exercise caution, especially near low-lying bridges and flooded areas. Avoid risky crossings and opt for safer alternative routes.
Emergency Evacuation Notice:
Residents in low-lying areas are urged to monitor rising water levels closely. In case of flooding, evacuate to higher ground immediately. Safety is paramount during these challenging conditions.
