NATIONAL NEWS - The judge presiding over the Van Breda murder trial has raised concerns over the matter being drawn out.
Henri van Breda’s lawyers want to call a further two witnesses, a neurologist and a psychologist.
Last week the accused was in a hospital, undergoing a series of tests, after suffering a seizure.
Defence advocate Pieter Botha has requested a two-week postponement to allow a neurologist and a psychologist to compile reports.
This will also allow the State time to consult its own experts.
Neurologist doctor James Butler is expected to give evidence on Van Breda’s condition called juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, which he was diagnosed with following last week’s seizure.
