According to the latest report by indianautosblog.com, the Velar SVR will go on sale in a number of countries towards the end of the year, with sales in India, and most likely South Africa, commencing in 2019.
Based on previous reports, motivation for the SVR will come from Jaguar-Land Rover’s familiar 5.0-litre supercharged V8 that produces 423kW/700Nm, mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. While top speed is expected to be limited to 250km/h, reports are that the 0-100km/h sprint would be completed in around 4.5 seconds.

Aesthetically, the SVR will build on the R Dynamic and receive a model specific bodykit with unique front and rear bumpers, side skirts and grille, 22-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, quad exhaust outlets and underneath its skin, sharper steering, stronger brakes and adaptive dampers.
Expect the interior to all feature special touches such as carbon fibre inserts, SVR exclusive materials and sports seats with SVR badges integrated into the headrests.
