Sporting only a thin layer of black masking on the four rings missing grille and rolling on sporty alloy wheels minus any centre caps, the seemingly more grown up A1 gets Audi’s latest singleframe grille, new headlights, wider rear doors and restyled taillights.
Although unconfirmed, the model depicted appears to be the S line variant as indicated by the aforementioned wheels, the wider door sills, integrated boot spoiler, vents on the flanks of the front and rear bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets.

No image of the interior have yet been seen, but as indicated previously, it will likely mirror that of existing Audi models and incorporate the 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit Display as well as the latest MMI infotainment system.
Also unknown are the A1’s range of engines, but like with the Volkswagen Polo and Seat Ibiza, expect two TFSI petrol engine displacing 1.0-litres and 1.5-litres, a single 1.6-litre TDI in two states of tune, and a more powerful version of the Polo GTI’s 2.0-litre TSI for use in the S1.
Purely speculative is that the A1 will make its world debut at the Paris Motor Show in October with the S1 possibly arriving in 2019.
