GEORGE NEWS - A teenager (14) from Conville who appeared in court on a charge of murder earlier today, Monday 23 August, has been released into the care of his parents and warned to be back in court on 28 September.
This follows the boy’s arrest after he allegedly stabbed a 12-year-old boy to death in Tinktinkie Street on Sunday 22 August.
Southern Cape police spokesperson, Capt Malcolm Pojie, said the victim, Austin Kiewiets, and his friends were accompanying another friend home when the young suspect allegedly accosted them and stabbed the victim.

It is reported that the suspect fled the scene on foot but was handed over to police by his parents shortly after the incident.
The motive for the senseless killing is still to be confirmed.
