Update: Taxi protest march in George underway

GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - Isaya Stimela, coordinator of the Uncedo taxi march, led the protest with the memorandum to be handed over to the mayor.

The peaceful protestors arrived at the municipality to hand over their petition.

They expressed their frustration at Sean Snyman, speaker of the Municipality, because mayor Jackie von Brandis was not present to accept the petition from Uncedo.  

She is apparently recovering from an operation she underwent yesterday.
