Update
GEORGE NEWS - The N2 between the Garden Route Mall turn-off and the Pacaltsdorp turn-off remains closed after rioting this morning.
Two trucks that were petrol bombed need to be removed and the road, littered with tyres and other material, needs to be cleared.
The fire brigade is still busy with containment of fires of one of the trucks.
Access into George CBD from the N2 past the Garden Route Mall is open.
As a result of the riots, refuse removal has been delayed. Public toilets in the CBD are closed, as are the Thembalethu tourism office, Thusong Centre and area office in Thembalethu.
