GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - Protesting taxi owners have made their way to the taxi rank in the CBD.
Rubber bullets and teargas were used to disperse the crowd.
Entrances and exists to the taxi rank in the CBD has been closed off by police.
Motorists and pedestrians are requested to avoid the area.
