A joyful hotdog and face painting party marked the one year anniversary of their hands-on involvement with Nozuko Ndunana’s crèche, Sphamandla (‘give us the power’), also known as ‘Alice’s crèche’. The event furthermore served as a celebration for the volunteers who come from around the world to help Project Colors with small initiatives. It was also a good-bye party for long-term volunteer Sylvie Furlong from the United Kingdom.
Volunteers from Germany, Holland, Canada, America, Belgium and Scotland hosted this fun day at Alice’s crèche, with lekker music, braaivleis and fun activities.
"It is a celebration of trusting partnerships with those in the community who wish to fulfil their potential and take on projects that help the local children," says Sunyata Choyce, founder director of Colors International. For more information on their projects, visit their website at www.projectcolors.com or contact Sunyata on 082 502 2333.
