GEORGE NEWS - A Jeep was extensively damaged in a vehicle fire in Meyer Street, opposite Van Kervel School in George earlier today, Saturday 6 June.
According to George Municipality media liaison officer Debra Sauer, emergency services responded to the incident at around 12:30.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze, but the vehicle's entire interior was destroyed by the fire. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage and remains under investigation.
The vehicle is being towed from the scene, with authorities expecting the area to be cleared shortly.
