GARDEN ROUTE NEWS AND VIDEO - After a successful backburn by GRDM Fire & Rescue Services and Working on Fire, the wildfire has been contained.
Mopping-up of the outer parts of the affected area followed after the backburn was completed.
The landowner will keep an eye on a few smouldering stumps within the burned out area throughout the evening.
Role players included GRDM Fire & Rescue Services, the local farmers, Southern Cape Fire Protection Association and Working on Fire.
No structures were lost and everything was successfully protected .
