GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The Calitzdorp Succulent Society will be holding their annual Vetplantfees from Friday to Sunday, 15 to 17 September.
The event provides a showcase for the beautiful and rare succulents from South Africa and those from other parts of the world. Succulent enthusiasts who visit Calitzdorp during the festival will be able to immerse themselves in a range of activities to discover the world of succulents.
The festival will take place at the Calitzdorp Station.
Visitors will see indigenous and rare succulents in their natural habitat, buy specimens not available in nurseries and get advice on how to propagate, grow and care for succulents in the garden.
There will be a plant and art exhibition, vendor sales, children's activities, food vendors.
The programme includes veld walks, talks by experts, a rare plant auction and workshops. Hours are from 09:00 to 17:00 on the Friday and Saturday and from 09:00 to 15:00 on the Sunday.
