Update
GEORGE NEWS - The pipe burst at Herold’s Bay has been restored. The pipe line was opened and is currently filling with water. The estimated time of filling the pipes to full capacity is not clear at this stage but lower lying areas in Herold’s Bay and Oubaai should already have waterflow.
With regards to George, the situation is still the same – all reservoir levels, including the main reservoir are filling up slower than what people are using water.
We seriously urge the public to please use water for essential purposes only. This is due to high water demand in conjunction with load shedding.

It has been noted that the water usage in Thembalethu has gone down, while since yesterday, an escalation of water usage was noticed in Kraaibosch areas.
