GEORGE NEWS - "As far as we can ascertain, protests in Rosemoor this morning, Saturday 27 October, are related to the power being off in some areas due to a high voltage cable fault.
"The Municipality is repairing the problem but the feeder is in an area where people cannot see it is being fixed, so it is assumed that it is not being attended to.
"The situation in Rosemoor has normalised. The reason for the protest has been confirmed to be related to power being off due to the cable fault on a high voltage line feeding two substations, which in turn feeds a section of Rosemoor.
"The situation has been explained to the residents. The Police continue to monitor the area. Work continues on the line fault."
